About
Keanu Manners is a Native Hawaiian photographer with a BFA in Advertising Photography. As a Deaf, queer, and trans artist, he is deeply committed to using his work as a means of storytelling—amplifying the voices and experiences of those often pushed to the margins. Through his lens, he strives to create authentic, dynamic, and visually compelling narratives that center identity, culture, and community.
With a versatile background in portraiture, live events, and product photography, Keanu also brings experience in set design and construction, allowing him to craft immersive and intentional visual spaces. Whether capturing the energy of a live performance, the personality of an individual, or the essence of a brand, he approaches every project with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of collaboration.
Keanu is passionate about working alongside other LGBTQIA+ and disabled artists, fostering an inclusive creative space where everyone feels seen and valued. His work is defined by a balance of technical skill and emotional depth, creating images that are not only visually striking but also deeply personal and meaningful.
Currently based in the South Bay Area, CA, Keanu remains deeply connected to Hawai‘i and Montana, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, histories, and communities that have shaped him.
